The issue comes to a flashpoint on gay and bisexual black men, with estimates that 1 in 2 of them living with HIV in Atlanta. 60% of all new HIV cases reported in Georgia come from Atlanta residents.
The state of Georgia is also 3rd in the nation for Syphilis, with most of the cases occurring in Fulton and DeKalb counties.
